Sponsorship is primarily intended for members who are unable to afford membership and not from the UN Development Program definition of the 30 most developed countries (see http://hdr.undp.org/en/dataIf, i.e. for potential members not from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong – China (SAR), Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea (Republic of), Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States).
Sponsored membership is intended for members who want to be active participants of the society.
